Can AutoIt3Wrapper Directives accept variables (or be used as variables)?

Is there a working version for something like

$version="1.0"
#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion=$version

?

I use $version in various places and it's illogical to define it twice. Likewise for program's name, etc.

As directives are actioned before any code, I do not see how you could use a variable within one.

Then what about the other way around? Using something like:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion=1.0.0.0
$version=#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion

In 4 years you've never tested this? Did you really need to ask this at all, because a simple test would have told you that wouldn't work.

Of course I did, I just didn't write it here. I thought maybe after 4 years new minds would offer a solution.

gets the corresponding version... .
