a quick shot.... At the moment the taskbar is always on top (as configured on my system). I Haven't yet figured out how to overcome this.

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

global $visible = 0

HotKeySet("{ESC}", "ToggleScreen"); Set Boss Key

$gui=GUICreate("Boss Key", @DesktopWidth,@DesktopHeight, -1 ,-1 , $WS_BORDER, $WS_EX_TOPMOST)
GUISetBkColor (0x00000000)

do
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
until $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE

func ToggleScreen ()

   if $visible = 1 then
      GUISetState(@SW_SHOW,$gui)
      $visible = 0
   else
      GUISetState(@SW_HIDE,$gui)
      $visible = 1
   endif
endfunc

Cheers

Kurt
