JohnMC Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I thought i had a simple question but i guess not, sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but i just cant find it for some reason. It seems lately that the virus false positive issue is a loosing battle (at least with my WIP that uses allot of file execution and network access), im wondering if buying a certificate and signing the executables im making would be worth it and help battle false positives and to what degree. thanks for any help! -John https://johnscs.com
Richard Robertson Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Unfortunately all scripts match the signature regardless of the script contents. I don't believe code signing will change the heuristic signature of the executable but I could very well be wrong.
