Code Signing

I thought i had a simple question but i guess not, sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but i just cant find it for some reason.

It seems lately that the virus false positive issue is a loosing battle (at least with my WIP that uses allot of file execution and network access), im wondering if buying a certificate and signing the executables im making would be worth it and help battle false positives and to what degree.

Unfortunately all scripts match the signature regardless of the script contents. I don't believe code signing will change the heuristic signature of the executable but I could very well be wrong.
