geting text from a GUI

hi i am wondering how i can get the text from a GUI, i have been looking around but i cant seem to find what im looking for.

Here is the info:

Basic Window Info-

Title: Windows

Basic Control Info-

Class: Static

Instance: 189

Control-

ID:698

Text: Edit

is it possible to get the Text "Edit"?

for example:

MsgBox(0, "Windows", "paste text here from control - Text(Edit)")

with controlgettext
