Can I read the state of the checkbox?

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Can I read the state of a checkbox in a window?

I tried the GUICtrlRead (controlID), but it's not working.

my requirement is :

I need to read the state of a checkbox in 'Properties' window of file/folder.

It is mentioned in the help of autoit that 'ControlID' of GUICtrlRead () is the one returned by GUICtrlCreate..().

Does this mean GUICtrlRead () works only with the controls created using autoit script?

Thanks,

Ranjit

That's true, GUICtrlRead only works for controls created by

the script, so what you need to use is ControlCommand.

Example :

ControlCommand("WindowName", "", "ControlName", "IsChecked", "")

Edit : Oops, didn't see that there was already an answer

given in the other topic..

Good luck !

Ranjit this forum is not a place to ask question. but to share the good way to use AutoIt.

I see you have use too the "V3 support" which is the right place

Thanks for using AutoIt :(
