Alternative to MouseMove?

I'm trying to script a game where the cursor is only present if the user holds down CTRL. Otherwise moving the mouse causes screen to re-center (first person view).

For some reason MouseMove only works when the cursor is present and mobile but not if locked to the center of the screen. Is there an alternative command I can try using to move the screen?

I'm thinking he's not automating a game, but creating one and something with the mouse movement isn't working as intended. I don't think that link applies, unless creating games is now taboo in AutoIt.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Yes, the same I guessed when I read the first line, I have a similar problem with D3D fps movement atm, that I'm looking into. Mine is just holding rightmousebutton instead of ctrl. But the mouse cursor goes back midscreen everytime it's pressed, very annoying.
