I am trying to make a program which starts Outlook in safe mode.

I've tried this...but it doesn't work

Send("{CTRLDOWN}")
Run("C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe")
Send("{CTRLUP}")

Try this.

Run("C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe /safe")
That is an other option to do it thx.

...but I am still curious...why doesn't it work??? If I hold down the key myself the script works...but not with the CTRLDOWN

Just a hunch, can't test because I don't have Office installed, but it might very well be because either the ctrl hasn't been "held down" long enough before starting or is "released" too soon after starting. Try something like:

/edit: whoops, forum seems to have fooked up that piece of code. Anyway, what I wanted to say was, try:

Send("{CTRLDOWN}")
Sleep(500)
Run("C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.exe")
Sleep(500)
Send("{CTRLUP}")
