BIOS Configuration

3 posts in this topic

Hi All,

I am creating a tool which will collect the BIOS informations like (porcessor, physical memory, port number, serial number,TPM - Trusted Platform Module status, etc..). I am able to do with WMI script successfully is there any function to collect these details.. Also is that possible to configure BIOS settings like(enabling TPM if it's in off state,etc..). Appreciated in advance for your suggestions..!

Thank you,Regards,K.Syed Ibrahim.

This is the correct place to post this. However I don't think you can modify the BIOS settings using WMI as there are no Methods associated with the Win32_BIOS Class. (Methods are what you use in WMI to change values, Properties are Read-Only information.)

Dating a girl is just like writing software. Everything's going to work just fine in the testing lab (dating), but as soon as you have contract with a customer (marriage), then your program (life) is going to be facing new situations you never expected. You'll be forced to patch the code (admit you're wrong) and then the code (wife) will just end up all bloated and unmaintainable in the end.
