Clicking a MenuStrip

Recommended Posts

Hey mates,

i'm kinda new to AutoIt and i just read some guides. As an example, i'm able to click a button on windows calc, using -> ControlClick("TITLE", "", "[CLASS:Button; TEXT:8]", "")

no problem there, but how do i manage to click the menustrip like "edit" or "?", i mean the menu bar under the window title. What's this "CLASS" called? And where do i find a list of all the "CLASS" names?

would be nice if someone could help me.

greets!

SoTD,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

You need to use the GuiMenu UDF. Type "GUICtrlMenu" into the Help file Index search and you will find lots of helpful functions to use on the menubar. :)
