NTNagpur
Hello All, I am new to AutoIT. I just start to use autoIt for automated my testing process of application. Application is developed in WDF & mostly used customized control. AUTOIT windows info is showing same information for all control used in forms except mouse position. So it is getting difficult to write script. Please suggest appropriate process or share helpful information. Thanks in advance… Nikhil
Moderators Melba23 Posted March 10, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 10, 2011 NTNagpur,Welcome to the AutoIt forum. AutoIt depends on the Windows API for a lot of its functionality, so dealing with custom controls is not easy. If the Window Info tool does not identify controls then there is little chance that AutoIt can interact with them. If you were to post the information that you get from the Window Info tool, we might be able to offer more help, but I would not hold your breath. You are likely to have to rely on MouseClick with all its imperfections. Sorry that this is such a negative message - we will try to do better next time. Moderators Melba23 Posted March 10, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 10, 2011 NTNagpur,As I feared - not a lot for AutoIt to work with:You are likely to have to rely on MouseClick with all its imperfectionsSo WinGetPos to get the GUI position and then calculation of the screen position of the various controls within the GUI. I hope for your sake the GUI is not resizeable.
