I can click on $Droptdown if I comment $ctrls out, but not if I draw it on $ctrls. Does anyone know how to solve this?

#include <GUIConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>

GUICreate("", 100, 30)
$ctrls = GUICtrlCreatePic("normal.bmp", 0, 0, 100, 20);fills whole GUI
$Droptdown = GUICtrlCreatePic("plugins.bmp", 77, 3, 16, 16, BitOR($SS_NOTIFY,$WS_GROUP,$GUI_ONTOP)); this image is on $ctrls
GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, -2)
GUICtrlCreateLabel("Tab ", 5, 3, 75, 17)
GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, -2)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    $iMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $iMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Droptdown
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Images and script all in 1 attachment

E1M1,

How long have you been around here? :unsure:

You need to DISABLE the background pic so that foreground controls will work - just like it says in the Help file. If you overlap controls AutoIt does not know which you meant to action and so actions neither. :>
