This code:

$mydata = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 105, 162, 100, 20, $SS_RIGHT)

creates a right justified input box I have only drawn the left and right hand borders which when you input the data there is no right user configurable margin between the alphamerics and the border. I guess from a graphics point of view it looks something like this

|................... 0.00.|

where as I would prefer it to look like this

The periods are used for spacing purposes

|.................0.00....|

How might this be achieved?

Help is always appreciated...

Hello Ant  nice to see you around here :>

You can simply add a number of white spaces at the end of the string used in the inputbox - that will make yout text "shift" to the left. Well, it's a workaround but I guess it works ;)

Edit: just tested it and it works - have a good Easter :D

Thanks for that good to see you are still active in AutoIT. My skill level has much improved with the exception of where I cannot see the woods for the trees. Staying home for Easter but having the family in attendance which should be good. Hope everything is well with you and yours in the sunny south. Thanks for you help simple solutions that work don't have to be elegant. I'll catch up with you in the near future off forum. Cheers for now and thanks again ;):)
