Windows stop being found after awhile

No matter what script I'm working on, after awhile my autoit scripts simply stop being able to find windows. The windows have the same titles as always, but things like ControlGetText suddenly start returning 0 and doing nothing.

Is there any bug that could possibly cause this? It seems only a computer restart fixes it.

Sounds weird, I used to work a while with all those functions and never happened to me, perhaps if you show your script we can take a look to what might be going wrong.
