Change text in a variable into uppercase

4 posts in this topic

Hi everyone,

(Sorry if my English is bad, I'm fom Belgium...)

I've got a little problem with my code, and I hope someone can help me solving it.

In my script, there's a variable containing text, and I need to change that text into capital letters without knowing what the text actually is.

example:

$variable = "text" should become $variable = "TEXT"

But again, I don't know in avance what the text is.

I already tried this 2 strings:

Dim $variable = "+$variable"

Dim $variable = "+" & $variable

Of course none of them worked...

Maybe there's a way tho check which text a variable is containing, and then change it. If so, I don't know how to do that either.

I hope someone can help me.

simonster,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum.

You need StringUpper - look in the Help file for the syntax. :>
