Help with Ribbons

Recommended Posts

AUTOITNovice

Hi,

I'm new to AutoIT and I;m trying to automate a Win32 application which has ribbons.

I can't find the ControlID for the ribbon so I tried to use hotkeys to overcome this problem but I'm also stuck here.

1. Does anyone know how I can find the controlID for a ribbon menu and how I can press one of the buttons on that menu using AutoIT?

2. Alternatively, does anyone know how I can send keystrokes to the ribbon as I've tried ControlSend and Send functions but without success.

Thanks

If you are refering to MicroSoft I find the shortcut key by pressing the Alt key.

Yes its a Microsoft application. I know what the shortcut key is but for some reason when I try to use it in ControlSend and Send functions I get no response from the application.
