ripdad 100 Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) I recently encountered a virus that hides everything on a hard drive via the attribute +H. The result is: No start menu programs, No desktop icons, No visible files or folders in Explorer. The latest version, deletes all shortcuts from the allusers profile, which will require some grafting work. The same will also set some files and folders +R. There's a few utilities on the web that can "unhide" all files and folders. Here is one more with some control over "what" files/folders it hides/unhides and removes the read only's.EDIT- August 23, 2012 I have finally gotten around to updating this script, so that it can be used on Vista and Win7. It is much more comprehensive than the last one, although it is NOT all-conclusive. By that, I mean that it only covers "well-known folders and files" and what attributes they should be. Everything else will be set to unhidden. Credits: _IsJunction() by wraithdu. By the way... about the "Session Errors" It is normal to have some errors (perhaps up to 100 (but Not hundreds)). Especially, if attributes fail on "SYSTEM" folders or files. Please let me know if any problems. UnHide_Drive_v0.1b.au3 Edited July 19, 2013 by ripdad "The mediocre teacher tells.
