Create control in specific group or tab

3 posts in this topic

I have a GUI with several combo boxes that update themselves in specific situations.

For the update i need to delete the combo box and create it again, so it's content is always updated and not all messed up.

But... when they update (delete, create and reload info) and i switch to a different tab, the combobox also appears in the other tabs.

Can i create a combo box in a specific group for a specific tab, or when i create something it will be displayed all over the different tabs?

When you update the contents of a ComboBox if you want to delete the current contents, you don't need to delete the combo first, all you need to do is start the new data with the separator character. For example, you want to change the combo box contents use GUICtrlSetData($comboboxid, "|new data|more data|even more data"), this will delete the contents of the combo and add the 3 other items.

As to making sure a control appears on the correct tab in a window, check out GUISwitch in the help file.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
