#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <EditConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

GUICreate("", 285, 103, 290, 224)
$Inbut_Area = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 8, 32, 265, 21)
GUICtrlCreateLabel("Question Text", 8, 8, 70, 17)
$Ok_Button = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK", 120, 64, 75, 25)
$cancel_Button = GUICtrlCreateButton("Cancel", 200, 64, 75, 25)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

    EndSwitch
WEnd

This will do what you want. Of course the buttons are useless without any code :huh2:

Hope this helps.

Oops somebody beat me to it, sorry ;)

@sergeyWolf: you bet, Good Luck!

@Meerecat: I don't type too fast, so it's easier for me to copy/paste when I can. We probably were replying about the same time..

Or you could use this if you don't have a GUI.

$variable = InputBox("Title", "Type something in here")

I was going to suggest that too, BrewManNH, but I was under the impression that the OP wanted a field only, with no buttons or anything.

Well, I figured it couldn't hurt, because after all, what good is an input line if you don't do anything with it, and that usually requires a button. :huh2:
