Open folder only

Recommended Posts

OK, I have searched and did not find what I could use.

What I want to do is open the Pictures folder in both WinXP and Win7. Now, the folder is in the user directory, but WinXP calls it "My Pictures" and Win7 calls it "Pictures". That part is OK, just figure out the OS and use the name.

However, how do I just open the folder? I tried FileOpen with the folder name, but it did not open anything. I don't want the user to pick a folder by using FileSelectFolder, I want to have the Pictures folder open.

Thanks for the help

dickep,

Use ShellExecute("Folder_Name") and Windows will open the folder in an Explorer GUI for you. :huh2:
