Cant find button

5 posts in this topic

First off, Hello, im new here.

Second, im trying to find the information on a button using the AutoIT Window Info. Unfortunatly, the only information I can get is on the window that the button is in, not the button itself. While the program that I was having this problum with is not easaly accessable, the same issue came with the little butons on miesweeper, and with the MS paint tool bar. Does anyone know if there is any way to get ahold of this information, if not with the Window finder?

matt7188,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :huh2:

The AutoIt Window Info tool only works with controls created using the standard Windows API. Many apps use custom controls - which are not always accessible via the tool - it sounds as if you have come across one of these. ;)

You can try using ControlClick on the control - the <Control> tab on the tool tells you the coordinates to use. :alien:
