Any way to poll FPS from GPU?

I have already tried searching but couldn't find anything useful.

Basically, I need to be able to read the FPS values from a GPU. I understand this will only work on GPUs capable to outputting FPS, but for the most part, any modern GPU has that capability (which is all I'm going to be using it on).

I have been using FRAPS for this purpose in the past, but it has come to the point where FRAPS is no longer a viable solution.....is there any way to monitor FPS from a specific program from just AutoIt?
