jerrygarciuh
Hi folks, Brand newbie to AutoIt here. I'm a *nix scriptmonkey though. I'm trying to play with these 2 webcam scripts: Since they are a couple of years old I am guessing they are v2 scripts. The help file says "v2.64 will continue to be downloadable and supported" and that there is a converter "You can find the converter in the "Extras" directory". AFAICS that is not accurate. Can anyone point me to either a converter or an installer for v2.64? TIA JG
AdmiralAlkex
Hi and Welcome to the forums! Hi folks, Brand newbie to AutoIt here. I'm a *nix scriptmonkey though. I'm trying to play with these 2 webcam scripts: Since they are a couple of years old I am guessing they are v2 scripts. Why would you guess such a weird thing? They were written in 2008, AutoIt v3 was released 2004, and besides, look at the syntax for 2 seconds and compare to ANYTHING you have ever seen written in AutoIt. It's beyond doubt v3. The help file says "v2.64 will continue to be downloadable and supported" and that there is a converter "You can find the converter in the "Extras" directory". AFAICS that is not accurate. Can anyone point me to either a converter or an installer for v2.64? TIA JGI don't think anyone remembers anymore, try Google .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
Moderators SmOke_N Posted August 31, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Actually those appear to be AutoIT v3 scripts. My compliments. You're pretty good at repeating what's already been said. @OP Welcome to AutoIt, you'll need to look at the change log in the help file to see what changes you'll need to make to those scripts. Edited August 31, 2011 by SmOke_N Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
