Need some Sugestion

Recommended Posts

Hi Friends,

I am creating one tool which will validate whether all the patches have installed on user machine. Here my question is, do we have any option in autoit to read the installed updates details from Add/Remove program? There is a reason why i am asking this,

1. Not all the patches are creating the entry in Registry. Thats why i was unable to check the details through registry.

so any sugestion or option that i can use to collect all the patches details from the machine?

i tried seraching in goodle but i did not get the correct answer. Don't hit me hard if i asked anything worse :graduated:

Thank you,Regards,K.Syed Ibrahim.

You could also try parsing the @WindowsDir & "\windowsupdate.log" file.

You will be looking for Title = and a regular expression to get the information required.

Question about decompiling code? Read the decompiling FAQ and don't bother posting the question in the forums.

Be sure to read and follow the forum rules. -AKA the AutoIt Reading and Comprehension Skills test.***

The PCRE (Regular Expression) ToolKit for AutoIT - (Updated Oct 20, 2011 ver:3.0.1.13) - Please update your current version before filing any bug reports. The installer now includes both 32 and 64 bit versions. No change in version number.
