BrewManNH Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Im looking for a way to strip down graphics of windowsExplain exactly what it is you mean by this and perhaps we can figure out how to help. That's as clear as mud right now. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from. AdmiralAlkex Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Sounds like he is talking about DWM. I'm gonna quote myself on this. GDI(+) is done by your cpu if DWM is on, so you want to disable that.Do a search for "disable dwm" or something like that on google or forumCall the function "DwmEnableComposition", (example at bottom of post) *Change compatibility settings *Change screen bit-depthChange Windows themeDisable "Enable desktop composition" from "Advanced system settings"Don't use a WDDM driverProbably some other ways to skin this cat.... Search and you shall find*The two least intrusive methods IMO. _DwmEnable(False) Sleep(3000) _DwmEnable(True) Sleep(3000) _DwmEnable(False) Sleep(3000) Func _DwmEnable($WhatToDo) DllCall("dwmapi.dll", "long", "DwmEnableComposition", "uint", $WhatToDo) EndFunc .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
