handling new IE window in IE

Hello Everyone,

i am using Autoit to automate one web site. in one particular page, after selecting some values from a dropdown, page relaods itself and at the same time, it pops up a child page with soem transaction ID.

i want to scrap this transaction ID and return to the parent page to fill in rest of the page. i am using _IEAttach, but not getting the desired result.

please help me.

Do you have some code we can look at to see what is happening?

The pop up might not be an IE window. It could be an ordinary Windows dialog box. Check it out with AU3Info.exe to find out for sure.
