Mouse Down Mouse Click Drag

3 posts in this topic

I have an automation program that sizes a object to a specific size using MouseDown("Left") and than using MouseMove(x,y).

This worked for several weeks and now it stopped working. The MouseDown("Left") does not actually put the left button down, the cursor moves but does not drag the object.

I simply added a second MouseDown("Left") so that the command is executed twice and it works.

MouseClickDrag is the same way, It will only drag if a MouseDown("Left") is executed first.

Since it once worked, I guess there is a bug somewhere but I don't know where to look.

Thanks

You need to show some code and preferably something as short as possible which we can run and which shows the problem.

The only reason I can think of that MouseDown("Left") might not work is that the left button is already pressed so maybe you missed a MouseUp somewhere.

Would MouseClickDrag work better for what you're planning to do?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
