Wait for PopUp if it Pops

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

I am writing a simple piece of code that would go through an installation.

If the system is having this installed for the first time a EULA popup appears. If this is a re-install the EULA will not appear.

I am not sure how to wait and check to see if this appears. Timing can be off from system to system so I can't assume it only takes 3 seconds before moving on in my script.

I have been trying to do the following:

If WinExists ("Setup EULA Pop-Up", "Agreeement") then
   Send ("!a")
  EndIf

Any help is greatly apperciated. Thanks!

The WinWait() function might work out better.

Hi, Eagle. My suggestion, depending on how the software is installed, would be to simply set this global property in your command line. Most MSIs accept the ACCEPT switch, so your command line to install would be msiexec /i "YourProductName" /qn ACCEPT=YES. This would be a lot easier than trying to wait for the EULA to pop up and then clicking on it.
