IanN1990
When ever i go to bed, i lock my pc "as it normally converting videos or playing music" but i want to try and improve my greenfootprint I dont need all 3 screens on, so was wondering if any autoit code could be used to turn off the left and right screen?? I have found lots of examples of scripts that turn off all monitors "including one within the helpfine" but i would like the main one would remain on. Anyone have any ideas? Mikeman27294
I dont think this would be possible as powering them on and off is a hardware level command. However, you could create a black WS_POPUP styled GUI for each screen which could for example, move the mouse every 5 or so minutes to prevent it from going to sleep. ChrisN
Wouldn't it be easier to press the power buttons on the monitors
IanN1990
hmm well the monitor bases are covered to prevent dust ^^ besides i have a "logg-off" screen that sets my status to away and does lots of other stuff I was hoping to add a "turn power off" to it as well
ChrisN
It was worth a try anyway! The only code I have turns off all the monitors.
