rsh Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I need to add a website to Microsoft's Internet Explorer's Trusted Sites...Is this possible in AutoIt? If so how can I do it? Thank you, Ron
BrewManNH Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 The registry setting for the Trusted Sites zone, at least on Windows 7 using IE 8, uses the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZoneMapDomains". In that key, you would add a key with the name of the site, "test.com" as an example, inside that key you have a REG_DWORD that is just an asterisk, and the value is set to between 0 and 4. This value is the zone you want this key to be a part of, 2 is the Trusted Sites zone on this computer. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. t0nZ Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Thanks to this topic I have used this function, it's Ok I have used this to add some trusted sites in a script to autologin a site with the real site as a popup. I know that if a site is trusted it can open popups .(standard settings in IE 7-8-9) So to obtain this: I have wrote these lines: RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZoneMapDomainsautoitscript.comwww", "http", "REG_DWORD", "2") RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZoneMapDomainsautoitscript.comwww", "https", "REG_DWORD", "2")
