I need to add a website to Microsoft's Internet Explorer's Trusted Sites...Is this possible in AutoIt? If so how can I do it?

Thank you,

The registry setting for the Trusted Sites zone, at least on Windows 7 using IE 8, uses the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZoneMapDomains". In that key, you would add a key with the name of the site, "test.com" as an example, inside that key you have a REG_DWORD that is just an asterisk, and the value is set to between 0 and 4. This value is the zone you want this key to be a part of, 2 is the Trusted Sites zone on this computer.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

Thanks to this topic I have used this function, it's Ok

I have used this to add some trusted sites in a script to autologin a site with the real site as a popup.

I know that if a site is trusted it can open popups .(standard settings in IE 7-8-9)

So to obtain this:

I have wrote these lines:

RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZoneMapDomainsautoitscript.comwww", "http", "REG_DWORD", "2")
RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZoneMapDomainsautoitscript.comwww", "https", "REG_DWORD", "2")
