hatchetman Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 I have tried to modify the registry to change the power settings and it does in fact change the various schemes but it doesn't change the three parmeters that correspond to those schemes (ie. Turn off monitor, Turn off hard disks, and system standby). What I really want to be able to do is to change the parmeters of the powe scheme but I thought changing the overall power scheme would have been the best way to do that. OS: Windows XP Pro
cmallett Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 I think you have to use the Control Panel's Power Settings applet. Otherwise, you would probably have to reboot for settings made directly to the registry to take effect.
