Hello, i don't understand how i can use the "ControlSend" command

i wanted to use it on Firefox and i dont know how :/

i want that the script...

While 1

Send("{F5}")

Sleep(180000)

WEnd

..will only run for firefox and not in the active window

i hope somebody can help me :)

Im not too sure about FireFox, because i dont automate it but it should be similar to automating IE

You will have to attach to FF and then send commands to it. (ControlSend)

and how i can send commands to it in my script ? i dont really know how controlsend works

F1 will open the help file in AutoIT.

This example is straight out of the help docs

ControlSend("[CLASS:Notepad]", "", "Edit1", "This is a line of text in the notepad window")

You don't use controlsend() with Firefox. You need to use the commands in FF.au3 to do what you need. Understand this is somewhat more advanced scripting so you may want to take AutoIt 1 2 3 (in the example scripts section of the forum) before you make the attempt.
