BrewManNH Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 If you're not seeing the window, you can't use Send, you have to use controlsend or controlclick. Send only works on visible windows, or at the very least windows that aren't minimized or hidden, they can be moved off screen so you can't see them, but they have to be "visible" to use send. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Given the script in post #18 in this thread (the script where I was able to get the message box that indicated that FrameMaker was activated), how would you change the Send command to ControlSend or ControlClick to send "{ALT}FO"? The controlID is the the control you'd need to send the string to, use the AU3Info tool to get that information. DMacy Posted March 2, 2012 Author Share Posted March 2, 2012 I would have put "Adobe FrameMaker" for "Window title" because that's what shows up in the title bar of the FrameMaker window when it first starts executing.
