Alex82
Hi, first, im new here! Allways searched for some hints and stuff, to help my scripting. Now i am at point i need your help. I am writing a script, which automatically installs a software. The installation routine differs from operating system to operating system. During the install, you must choose a path to the license file. And here is my problem. In windows 7 it is easy, i only send the path as a string to the address bar on the top of the fileopendialog box. In windows xp i dont have such an address bar. So my question would be: - how to do this without sending tabs to maneuvering through the explorer to get to the desktop path - is it possible to send the filepath as a string to the current dialog box from a 3rd party software? Thanks in advance for any answers. Greetings Alex

As every application install is different, can you please let us know the name of the application? There may be some command line switches that will allow you to include the .lic file automatically. Also, if you're trying to pass the string into a dialog box, can you please post a screenshot of that box? This will help us help you "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
