How to capture the image with screen minimized?

I have been using the autoit image capture a lot, but what I really need is the ability to do a screen capture while the screen is minimized... is this possible...I normally thought that the screen must be active to be captured... so bottom line can the autoit image capture capture a minimized screen or does anyone know of any software that will capture a minimized screen shot.. or even a browser screen that has been told to be invisible to humans...
