I think its a Bounds issue?

Recommended Posts

So i just got back into autoit and was breaking down another persons script to understand it and relearn how to write along with rewriting my own script... i came across the same error when i ran the original script, which im confused how it worked for them and not working for me....

I figure theres no need to post the rest of the script cause i can put this into a file alone and it errors just the same...

Global $a = ObjCreate("Scripting.Dictionary")

$a.Add(393704537, "Studded Leather Armor")

$a.Add(2326837633, "Drake Hide Armor")

The studded leather armor had 1 more character added to it and this caused an error on that line as well... after playing with it for quite a long time i finally figured out that by removing 1 char it would pass and move onto the next line where the char lengh was longer by 1 again and returns error...

Any idea why they could and i cant? i tried to "compile as 64bit" and that didnt accomplish anything heh

really sucks cause im using PixelChecksums and trying to do a If $a.Exists($checksum) and i cant do that with the length of the characters... i dont understand how someone else was able to and i cant find any information on the topic... drivin me up the wall as you can see in my repetition heh..

if i swap them around, text and number, i think it accepts it (or possibly i just gave up and put it in "") but i definately was able to get the longer number as a string but then $a.Exist($checksum) doesnt ever return sucess

i had a feeling it might have something to do with the way the variable is declared or the $ being changed or something but i couldnt find any information on that either

god i love learning this stuff, spent about 48hrs straight without food or sleep relearning the language breaking down the script one line/function at a time and rewriting my own, i LOVE to learn this stuff but i hate when i run into an error i cant find any documentation on heh

Welp thank you VERY much for your time and help

have a good one!

Don't have much knowledge on COM but looking at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/x4k5wbx4(v=vs.85).aspx, I think $a.Exist($checksum) should be replaced with $a.Exists($checksum)

:bye: Hey there, was I helpful?
