$mod = (10*aSin(30))
MsgBox(0,"",$mod)

what i want it to do is calculate it and then write the answer in a msgbox but it dosent seem to work :/

the output is: "-1.#IND"

arcSine does not equal Sine.

Your script is using ArcSine, and not Sine to calculate this. Plus, the Sin() function only works with radians, you'd need to convert this to degrees later to get the correct results. Open the help file to Sin() and look at the example posted there.

Maybe if i ask in a another way, normally i would take my calculator and type in 10*sin(30) the output would be 5.

But! how do i get the same output in the msgbox? should i use another function or something please help.

$pi = 3.14159265358979
$degToRad = $pi / 180
$y = 10*Sin(30 * $degToRad)  ;sine of 30° with hyp as 10
MsgBox(0,"",$y)

This is what i got to, please let me know if i did it right, since i get the correct output wich is 5

Looks right to me, but then I know nothing about Sine and its ilk as far as math goes, I'm just going by what the calculator says and the script output is. ;)
