GUI doesn't close

I have a script which starts of something like

While 1
$msg = GUIGetMsg ()
  Case $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
  Case $msg = $Clear
  Case $msg = $Ban

The problem i am facing is that the GUI doesn't ALWAYS close when the cross is clicked. Sometimes it closes straight away, sometimes after 1-5 seconds and sometimes it doesn't close at all!

I've set up a hotkey

HotKeySet("{Esc}", "Quit")

Func Quit ()



Which closes the script just fine without any delay. So what am i missing, why does this Case $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE not work properly?

Most of the time is because the script is inside a function running something long and it takes a while to get back to the message loop.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
