edit video files

hello, i was wondering if autoit its capable of editing video files specially mp4, ive been searching but so far i have only found that i need the codecs which i already have

what i want is to crop a video and replace all the video with an image

i know there are software that can make this kind of things but if its possible with autoit it will save me a lot of time

You can use external tools, maybe some of them can be automatized through COM in such case it would be very simple.

EDIT: VLC has commandline support and ActiveX plugin.
