I need to get the decimal value of a particular registry key. Also the path might change depending on the version of the sofware installed.

That makes no sense, try reading that as if you have no idea what you want and see if you can figure out what it is you're asking for.

When you have reread what you posted, come back with a real explanation of what it is you're looking to do with a LOT more details, and maybe someone can have a ghost of a chance of helping.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I am trying to get the decimal value of a registry key.

Seriously?! BrewManNH told you your first post was too cryptic, and asked you to supply more information, so you posted again with less? Might as well change your topic title to Please Do Not Assist Me.

I think I see the issue now. He's reading the hex value from the registry and he wants to display it as the decimal value instead. I seem to recall that being covered in the help file.

Try this:

$TestHex =  RegRead("HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlTimeZoneInformation", "ActiveTimeBias")
MsgBox(0,"TestHEX", $TestHex) ;Shows "4294967176"

$TestDex = Hex(Int($TestHex))
MsgBox(0,"TestDEC", $TestDex) ;Shows "0000000ffffff88"
