SciteConfig - Error

Recommended Posts

Hi people

After a nasty infection with the police virus i had to format my HD.

So i installed AutoIt again etc.

But with the updated SCITE when i run the SciteConfig.exe it crashes like this.

post-71357-0-30224100-1342287758_thumb.p

Any thoughts on how to fix this ?

Thank you

Sciteconfig uses these includes:

#include <ComboConstants.au3>

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

#include <TreeViewConstants.au3>

#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

#include <Misc.au3>

#include <Date.au3>

#include <file.au3>

#Include <Color.au3>

Make sure your Autoit includes folder has all of them. If it doesn't, you will need to find a copy of them.

None of those includes should be needed unless you're recompiling the exe.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

@BrewManNH

No i don't try to recompile the .exe

I also made a clean install of AutoIt.exe and SCITE.exe (previously i used the zip versions) but i still have the same problem. :(

Could this be a registry issue ?

Anyway i need to have a folder named UDF as the wiki suggests bat can not do it with SciteConfig.exe crashing, so is there any way to register my UDF folder with out SciteConfig.exe ?

Thank you.

armoros,

That particular error is occurring because SciTEConfig cannot read the au3.properties file. Please make sure that you have this file in the proper place:

"Your_AutoIt_DirSciTEPropertiesau3.properties"

If you want to manually set the include folder while we sort this out, the Wiki tutorial explains how to set your personal folder in the registry. ;)

@Melba23

Hello Melba23 i checked the folder and the au3.properties file is in place.

I have the zip versions of AutoIt and Scite i don't know if the registry tip works since there is not an installed AutoIt in my machine.

There is a special registry value that can be created at "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAutoIt v3AutoIt" called "Include".

It should be a REG_SZ (string) value.

I prefer the zip versions but i may have to install again AutoIt and SCITE, so to be able to make the reg tip work.

Thank you Melba23

Sorry to bring it up again

But i want to ask if it is better to use the

au3.properties 7/3/2011 AutoIt v3 configuration for SciTE.

Separate download from the site OR just stick with the new one < updated > that exists in the SciteAutoIt3 folder. ( the new one ).

I have the same problem with sciteconfig.exe but i am just saying.

      Hi dear
      I have a question please
      Can we customize error messages in autoit script?
      I mean internal error messages
      for example
      AutoIt Error
      Line 4  (File "D:\my projects\NVDA Manager\New AutoIt v3
      Script.au3"):
      $script[1] = 1
      $script^ ERROR
      Error: Subscript used on non-accessible variable.
      For example, I want to customize this message
      Is this possible?

      Hello,
      I'm trying to make a program that can look at a folder directory, find all the CSV files, and then add the data from CSV's to an array.
      The problem I seem to be running into is on the 2nd iteration (2nd file) when the script will not create an array. Could someone please help? Thanks in advance

      In the autoit file, if we add multiple libraries (both internal and custom created one)

      When we compile the code and run the exe, some time we are getting runtime errors.
      But the line number of error is not showing the exact line number, might be it is including the line number count of libraries also.
      Can you please suggest how to get the exact error line number.
      So, it will be useful for debugging.

      Greetings to the AutoIt community.
      I hope that nobody considers my question insulting but I searched 'SciTEConfig.exe' and I did not find it anywhere;
      although it is mentioned, it seems like a myth, I can not see if it exists.
      On the other hand, I have downloaded the compressed archive (from ... autoit-script-editor/downloads) 'SciTEConfig_Source.zip'
      Does not contain any .exe either but does have a 'SciteConfig.au3' which, I suppose, has replaced the .exe because on the internet I only find it as malware.
      My problem is: My applications to unzip .zip archives, they can see what files SciTEConfig_Source.zip have but they can not unzip it: 'Unknown method' says WinRar.
          I have downloaded it again, in case it had been damaged but the result is always the same.

      My question is: Is the archive 'SciTEConfig_Source.zip' damaged or does it have any other method of compression?
      I need it to learn how to configure SciTE (lite).
      Thankful to the developers of AutoIt and to the community.
      Regards

      i have seen many pointing out issues related to this, i tried reading through them - still unable to solve mine.. i have a script which reads certain lines based on a search item, this is an iterative process - the ldflst_file gets updated for each iteration and the script finds the line number which has the search item. this works perfectly for few iterations, but stops in some cases abruptly with the error =
      Subscript used on non-accessible variable $aRead^ ERROR I have verified that the search item is present in the file. what could be the reason for this code to stop in certain cases. thanks for help
      my code below (partial).. full code is in attachment

      local $aRead=FileReadToArray($ldflst_file)
      global $ldflst_var1=" JOINT  LOAD       FORCE(X)        FORCE(Y)        FORCE(Z)       MOMENT(X)       MOMENT(Y)       MOMENT(Z)"

      for $i= 0 to $ldflst_totlines    ; ldflst_totlines is total number of  lines in the file 'ldflst_file'

          if $aRead[$i]=$ldflst_var1 Then
              $ldflst_LFound=$i
              ExitLoop
              else
              EndIf
