jp10558 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I have a couple scripts I've written that include other programs like plink etc. When you run them the first time, they sometimes fail and cause Windows 7 to pop up a dialog asking if the script installed correctly. If I then click "it did install correctly", the next run seems to work as expected. Is there some way to tell Windows 7 I'm not installing anything, or just to disable that dialog / interference? Thanks...
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted August 1, 2012 Moderators Posted August 1, 2012 Hi, jp0558. That message is controlled by the Program Compatibility Assistant Service. You can disable this in the Services console, but it is usually suggested to leave it running. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
