How to use _FTP_ProgressUpload(...)

6 posts in this topic

The title expresses itself. I can't really understand that the help file provides me. Could you explain how to use this command? I've got a Progressbar and I want to upload a file through FTP. The only thing I can't understand is that how does that function changes the state of my progressbar.

Thank you.

I played with that function once. It creates it's own progress bar. I don't think you can use it to control your own progress bar.

As abberration said, if you look at the code in the function itself, it uses ProgressOn to create the progress bar, which is basically just a "splash screen" with a Progress Bar on it. It doesn't have a way to interact with another progress bar, although I suppose the function you can call with it could, but then you'd have 2 progress bars running, one working the other not.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Is there any way to make a "live" progressbar while uploading through FTP?

Rip that function out of the FTPEx file and modify it to your needs.
