if i create a slider with:

$hSlider = _GUICtrlSlider_Create($hWnd, 0, 2, 55, 30, BitOR($TBS_TOOLTIPS, $TBS_BOTH, $TBS_AUTOTICKS, $TBS_ENABLESELRANGE))

it is not selectable with tab key and

GUICtrlSetState($hSlider, $GUI_FOCUS)

why?

Ontosy,

Because you have created the slider with the UDF function _GUICtrlSlider_Create and so it does not have a ControlID for you to use with GUICtrlSetState. That function only works with controls created with the native AutoIt function GUICtrlCreateSlider. ;)

To focus the UDF slider try _WinAPI_SetFocus($hSlider) - you will need to include WinAPI.au3. :)

Ontosy,

Add the $WS_TABSTOP style to the slider when you create it. :)
