blademonkey
I'm trying to find a way to trigger a function after detection of a doubleclick in the title bar of my Autoit Script Custom window. What i'm trying to do is implement a specific resize function (i have the function working), i just need some guidance on where to look for trapping the event. thanks -B ---"Educate the Mind, Make Savage the Body" -Mao Tse Tung
BrewManNH
You'd want to look at the Windows messaging, something along the lines of GUIRegisterMsg($WM_COMMAND, "YourFunctionName"), this will detect the title bar being clicked. Then you would want to look at the WM_GETMINMAXINFO messages which allow you to limit the size of the GUI, either a maximum size, minimum size or both. There's a link in my signature to a demo I posted that might help somewhat. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. blademonkey
what if my app is OnEvent based? ---"Educate the Mind, Make Savage the Body" -Mao Tse Tung
BrewManNH
Won't make any difference, run the demo and try it, you'll see how it works. You can easily substitute the MessageLoop method of reading controls to the OnEvent mode and the Windows messages will still be actioned on. Read through the whole thread as there are other posts that help with understanding how it is all working, as well as a really nice set of demos that azjio posted a link to that gets into it in more detail, the text is mostly in Russian, but you should get the idea.
