baamr,

What does it say that the function returns?

Answer: An array. So you need to use _ArrayDisplay to see it: ;)

#include <Array.au3>

$sString = "320000,1.0.0,1000"

; Split on ","
$aSplit = StringSplit($sString, ",")

; And this is what we get
_ArrayDisplay($aSplit)

All clear? :)

Ok, i will try Your example.

You can try the example in the Help File too, in the link that M23 posted above. All those examples work, and they help tremendously to understand how the native AutoIt functions work.

edit: And this is the function you'll need for your other issue - StringLen. Good luck with your project.

Hi Again,

Here is code so far, but not managed to split it up like i want.

Now it shows an array, but i need them in 3 different strings.

Any ideas? Is there any array to string/substring that could be used?

Input is always separated like this : 12*****,12******,12******

Thanks for Your kind answer,

I found away to show results of each strings in array.

MsgBox(0, "Out 1", _ArrayToString($aSplit, @TAB, 1, 1))

MsgBox(0, "Out 2", _ArrayToString($aSplit, @TAB, 2, 2))

MsgBox(0, "Out 3", _ArrayToString($aSplit, @TAB, 3, 3))

But i need to know the name of result coming from _ArrayToString

so i can use them individually.

Think it is better for me to use some stringfunction instead of _ArrayToString because my goal is to compare the 3 results coming from my inputbox.

So i will try to seperate them first and then compare them individually.
