CountyIT
I am trying to write a script that will always bring a "priority" Window to the forefront. It is a continuous loop script. At the end of each loop I attempt to make sure that a priority Window is in the forefront. I use an .ini with the class of the priority window. In this case [CLASS:Notepad]. The user can sit there and get several "pop up" Windows on the screen while working. Some of these Windows have their AlwaysOnTop attribute set. What I want to do is determing which Windows have their AlwaysOnTop attribute set and (attempt) to turn it off. One of the problems is that I can find a function to isolate just the AlwaysOnTop attribute. I have to go through every Window in the WinList() and turn every one of them off. That can't be good. Some of the Windows in that WinList() at the start menu, program manager, etc. I can't find any other way to turn off the AlwaysOnTop Attribute. It is causing problems. An occassional GPF and one other little annoying issue. I use ToolTip(). It works on every screen open (or at least I can see it) and on the desktop. After I turn off the AlswaysOnTop attribute on everything the ToopTIp only shows up on the visible desktop. When I move the mouse to a Window the ToolTip cannot be seen. It is there but displayed behind the current open Window no longer on top of it. Help! Global $Priority = "[CLASS:Notepad]" Func CheckPriority() Local $Index, $Result, $WindowList, $WinHandle $WindowList = Winlist() For $Index = 1 To $WindowList[0][0] $WinHandle = $WindowList[$Index][1] WinSetOnTop($WinHandle, "", 0) Next WinActivate($Priority, "") EndFunc
BrewManNH
Look at the _WinAPI_SetWindowPos function in WinAPI.au3. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
