gcue,

This works for me:

$sString = "something,something - THIS,something,soemthing"

$sNewString = StringRegExpReplace($sString, "(?i).*s-s(.*)(,.*){2}", "$1")

MsgBox(0, "Extract", $sNewString)

Any good? :)

I got this. :)

#include <array.au3>
$string = "something,something - THIS,something,soemthing"
$Result = StringRegExp($string, "W(w{1,100}),", 3) ; pattern = Match any non-word character, followed by up to 100 word characters but only if those are followed by a comma
_ArrayDisplay($Result)

I changed the pattern to this and it works just as well.

#include <array.au3>
$string = "something,something - THIS,something,soemthing"
$Result = StringRegExp($string, "W(w+),", 3) ; pattern = Match any non-word character, followed by up to any number of word characters but only if those are followed by a comma
_ArrayDisplay($Result)

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
