Creating a script with both admin and local user rights

5 posts in this topic

Hi,

Im trying to make a script to remove old printer / drivers from our workstations as were about to upgrade.

first i run the spooler as admin

then i want the script to locate user name and ask for password in order to delete drivers using a vbs- got so fat to asking for password but then it comes back unknown user / password as if it dosent copy over the password

then it should run as admin again to complete the removal from regdb as a vbs.

All 3 work by themself. But i cannot get it to retieve the local user account halting it all

;Set the RunAs parameters to use adminstrator account

$user = "*********"

$domain = "********"

$passwd = "*********"

RunAsSet($user, $domain, $passwd)

;------------------------------------------------

; FjernDrivere.cmd

;------------------------------------------------

$val1 = RunWait("\\nasshare\SwInstall\FjernAllePrintere\FjernDrivere.cmd", @TempDir, @SW_MINIMIZE)

If $val1 = 0 then

MsgBox(0, "Successfull Installation", "Success",5)

Else

MsgBox(16, "Failure during Installation", "Error")

Endif

;_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

;Set the RunAs parameters to use adminstrator account

$user = "%username%"

$domain = "*******"

$passwd = ""

RunAsSet($user, $domain, $passwd)

;------------------------------------------------

; FjernDrivere.cmd

;------------------------------------------------

IF $passwd="" Then

$passwd= Inputbox("Fill in account/password", "Please fill in your password" )

then $val1 = Runwait("\\nasshare\SwInstall\FjernAllePrintere\FjernDrivere1.cmd", @TempDir, @SW_MINIMIZE)

if $val1 = 0 then

MsgBox(0, "Successfull Installation", "Success",5)

Else

MsgBox(16, "Failure during Installation", "Error")

Endif

;_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

;Set the RunAs parameters to use adminstrator account

$user = "***********"

$domain = "*********"

$passwd = "***********"

RunAsSet($user, $domain, $passwd)

;------------------------------------------------

; FjernDrivere.cmd

;------------------------------------------------

$val1 = RunWait("\\nasshare\SwInstall\FjernAllePrintere\FjernDrivere2.cmd", @TempDir, @SW_MINIMIZE)

If $val1 = 0 then

MsgBox(0, "Successfull Installation", "Success",5)

Else

MsgBox(16, "Failure during Installation", "Error")

Endif

What version of AutoIt are you using? Because RunAsSet was removed about 4 years ago.

Removed: RunAsSet(). (Replaced with RunAs() and RunAsWait())

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

WHy are you trying to write a script to bypass global group policy, rather than obtaining the access you need? It is a good way to find yourself looking for work :)

Beause we have an stupid central IT function that wont push out what we need by GPO and dont want to give us access to do so, so my manager asked me to find a way to bypass it. 's odd working in an IT dept. working against the GPO set from central point
