Hi,

Does anybody know an easy way to capture the windows event log?

I could just write some script that opens the console and saves it using the standard AUTOIT functions but I thought there might be a way of doing it without actually having to drive it through GUI commands.

Is there?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

You could use the EventQuery.vbs that is already part of winblows or PsLogList utility by Sysinternals or EVENTCOMBMT or "dumpel" utility from winblows resource kit.
